Domestic Altercation Allegedly Turns Violent, Both Charged with Harassment

crime-newsBURNSIDE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a domestic altercation occurred sometime between September 4 and September 5 at a location on Butterbaugh Road in Burnside Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, the incident occurred as Diana Marie Novella, 52, of Cherry Tree, and her son Shaun Novella, 31, also of Cherry Tree, were allegedly involved in a verbal altercation.

The altercation allegedly turned violent when Diana Novella slapped her son. Shaun Novella then allegedly pushed his mother to the ground and held her by the throat.

Police say Harassment charges were issued against both individuals and filed with District Court 46-3-01.
