Donald D. “Don” Ramsey

1736218_profile_picDonald D. “Don” Ramsey, 82, Reynoldsville, died Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at DuBois Nursing Home.

He was born October 19, 1933 in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Margaret (McMillen) and Elmer Ramsey.

On March 1, 1958, he married Lulu B. (Snell) Ramsey, who survives.

Don, along with his wife, owned and operated Dicks Cleaning Service for forty-nine years.

He enjoyed hunting, singing, bowling, and roller skating.

Don was a former Vice President of the DuBois Area School Alumni Association, a member of the Reynoldsville Eagles, a lifetime member of the Sandy Hose Co. #1, and sang in the NBC Barbershop Chorus.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include a daughter Donalu Stimel and husband George; three sons, John Ramsey and wife Rose, son Steven Ramsey and wife Angela, and Clay Ramsey and wife Raquel; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; a sister Betty Anthony; and two brothers, David and Kenneth Ramsey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Ruth, and two brothers Jim and Paul Ramsey.

Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2016, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2016, at the funeral home with John Kerr officiating.

Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the NBC Barbershop Chorus.
