Donald James Ryen, 64, of Punxsutawney, PA died Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born January 4, 1951 in Punxsutawney, PA, the son of the late Floyd and Dorothy (Deitman) Ryen.
He was married to the former Cheryl Bishop.
He owned and operated Service Master in Punxsutawney, PA
He served in the National Guard during the 1970’s
He was a member of the Canoe Ridge Church of God.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends who meant the world to him’.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; two sons, Douglas Ryen and his wife, Kelly of Hebron, OH and Matthew Ryen and his wife Brianne of Punxsutawney; and four grandchildren, Elin, Isla, Scout and Harper Ryen.
He is also survived by one brother, Jack Ryen of Brandywine, MD; and three sisters, Shirley Rainey of Hubbard, OH, Diane Prutznal of North Tonawanda, NY, and Barbara Keller of North Tonawanda, NY.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ken Ryen and by one sister, Eva McCracken.
Friends will be received at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, PA on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8.
The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 8:00 PM with Pastor Earl Flick officiating.
