Donald Lee Mercer, 70, of Brockway, died Sunday, October 11, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
He was born January 15, 1945 in Ohio, the son of Edward and Orphie Mercer.
Don was self employed as the owner of a computer store.
He enjoyed being with his wife, Brenda Kay Mooney, and with his family.
Don didn’t miss a chance to go golfing or fly fishing.
Mr. Mercer was a member of the John W. Jenks Masonic Lodge #534.
In addition to his wife, Brenda, he is survived by five children, Debbie Mercer of St. Marys, Gus Mercer of St. Marys, Mike Mercer and wife Heidi of Clarion, Michelle Baker, Darla Early and husband Sonny of Pittsburgh; fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren; one brother, Alan Young and wife Donna of Big Run, three sisters, Edith Young of Punxsutawney, Robin Wyarzniak and husband Carl of Lackawanda, NY, and Marie Graff and husband Ray of Tonawanda, NY.
Preceded in death by five brothers, Ken, Tom and Robert Mercer, and Bill and Joe Young, Jr.; one sister, Eleanor Metzinger.
Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Circle Hill Cemetery.
