Donald LeRoy Park Sr., 83, of Corsica, PA, passed away Thursday March 30, 2017 at Penn Highlands Health Care of DuBois, PA.
Born May 20, 1933 in Clover Twp., Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Levi Elmer and Alberta M. (Brosious) Park.
He married Elizabeth Faye Valimont December 21, 1954 in Brookville, PA.
Donald was a welder and mechanic and served in the United States Marine Corp from 1953 to 1956 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on small engines. After retirement he had a small engine repair shop.
Donald is survived by two sons, Donald (Vickie) Park Jr. of Brookville, and Benjamin (Kathy) Park of Corsica. Also surviving are two brothers; William (Arlene) and Dean (Deb) Park and two sister-in-laws, Janet and Millie Park; four grandchildren; Ben, Ciara, Bridgette, Missy; and five great-grandchildren Julie, Mason, Lexi, Clare, and Morgan.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth “Faye” (Valimont) Park and two brothers Robert and Richard Park.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St. Summerville, PA. The interment will be in the St. Johns (Windy Hill) Cemetery, Rose Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
