At least six locations will be accepting donations, including Charitable Deeds in Knox, the Captain Loomis Restaurant in Clarion, Vince’s Tavern in Leeper, Clarion University, the Moose Lodge #366 in New Bethlehem, and Iron Mountain Grille in Clarington.

According to a representative of Charitable Deeds, 12 families have been affected. All of them have housing.

Suggested donations include Walmart gift cards, money (cash or checks), clothing for all ages and sizes, tooth brushes, tooth paste, mouthwash, toiletries, and non-perishable food items.

The people who need help range in age from very young children to older adults, so any size of clothing is welcome.

The American Red Cross of Western Pennsylvania is also providing assistance and has secured housing, food, and clothing for the 14 adults and seven children who were affected. Their health services team is also assisting with any medical needs, and their caseworkers will continue to follow up with the people in the coming days.

The Captain Loomis will accept donations daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Charitable Deeds will accept donations from 8:00 a.m. to noon Monday and Tuesday. They won’t accept furniture or any large items.

Vince’s will be taking donations until April 3 for any clothing, hygiene products, small toys, and household items.
