Donna L. Beck, 88, DuBois, passed into God’s hands surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Christ the King Manor.
Born May 26, 1928, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Elva L. (Burley) Waite.
She married Kenneth L. Beck Jr. on December 29, 1951 at Christian Missionary and Alliance Church in DuBois. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2000.
Donna was a graduate of DASD and served in the cafeteria of the DuBois School District for 29 years where she loved getting to know the students over the years. She was a member of the DuBois Alliance Church and the DuBois Custodian and Maintenance ESP.
Donna was an avid reader, attended Bible study, loved her animals, and enjoyed flower gardening.
She is survived by a daughter, Melanie Beck of Olanta, PA and a granddaughter, Lee Ann Naylor of DuBois, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her siblings, Vera Leiptz and Emerson, Delbert, Paul, Ivan, and George Byron, and a daughter, Amy Lou McKendrick.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, March 8th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel Inc.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 9th at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Tim Connor officiating.
Interment will be in Beechwoods Cemetery.
