Donna Read, 80 of Mahaffey, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 at Siemons Nursing Home in Somerset.
Mrs. Read was born October 14, 1936 in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Donald and Ruth (Davidson) Kuntz.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; Robert Strong and later by her second husband; Richard Read.
Donna was a member of the CMA church in Mahaffey where she played piano for most of her life. She was a music teacher at the Purchase Line School District before retiring.
Donna is survived by one son; Nathan Strong and wife Dawn of Butler, one daughter; Kim Bender and husband Matt of Somerset, three grandchildren; Christian Bender, Hannah and Tyler Drane, one brother; Carl Kuntz and wife Wendy of Mahaffey, sister in law; Barb Kuntz of Indiana, nieces and nephews; Rachelle Brackman and husband Geoffrey, Jeremiah, Carleigh, Marissa, Samuel and wife Ellen, and Jim and wife Gwen Kuntz.
In addition to her husband’s Robert and Richard, she is preceded in death by one brother; D. Paul Kuntz.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm December 8th and 2-4 & 6-8 pm December 9th at the Waldron Funeral Home in Mahaffey.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am December 10th at the CMA church in Mahaffey with Pastor Myron Wattenphul officiating.
Private interment will follow at Mahaffey Cemetery.
