Dora Mae Dodd

Dora Mae Dodd, age 92, of in Penfield, PA died Friday, December 24, 2021 at the home of her daughter.

Born on November 30, 1929 in Penfield PA, she was the daughter of the late Hiram & Dora (Shoemaker) Bundy.

On June 22, 1957 she married William H. “Bill” Dodd. He preceded her in death on November 14, 2012.

Dora was a homemaker and was a bookkeeper for the Salvation Army.

She was a 1947 graduate of Sandy High School.

Dora was a member of the Treasure Lake Church and previous to that, she was a long-time member of Life and Light Free Methodist Church. There she was the Sunday School superintendent, treasurer, missionary president, and was involved in many other church activities.

She loved to garden and enjoyed canning.

She is survived by her son (Bradley Dodd and wife Bonnie of Sabula PA and her daughter Vivian Beck and her husband David of Weedville, PA), 5 siblings (Lois Garthwait, Elda Marie Jones, Carolyn Lauer, Emil Bundy and Hiram Bundy Jr), 9 grandchildren (Craig, Curtis, Eric, Nathan, Alex, Blake, Lance, Nick and Tony), and 4 great grandchildren (Liam, Madaline, Katelyn and Anna).

Dora was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Donna Hallstrom, Jean Christian and Cleo Saldutte and two brothers, Kenneth and Lyle Bundy.

Due to our current circumstances, there will be no public visitation and a private family funeral service will be held from Treasure Lake Church with Pastor David Ginn officiating.

The funeral service will be livestreamed on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11 a.m. and can be viewed by going to www.treasurelakechurch.org.

Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
