Doris I. Kunselman, 92, of Ringgold, died Monday, December 6, 2021, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born September 5, 1929, in Brookville, PA, a daughter of the late Hazel L. (Reed) Himes and Leonard O. “Lennie” Himes.
On December 12, 1947, she married Harold B. “Skip” Kunselman, who preceded her in death on February 15, 2000.
Doris was a homemaker.
She enjoyed bowling, crocheting and playing cards.
She is survived by a daughter Carol DeFoor and husband Donald of Ringgold, PA, a son Ronald Kunselman and wife Kathy of Chambersburg, PA; five grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Richards of Erie, Velma Smouse of DuBois and Lucy Vandevort of Titusville; eight grandchildren, Kimberly, Michael, Todd, Jamie, Shannon, Chastity, Courtney and Bradley; fifteen great grandchildren, Marissa, Alexandra, Brady, Christian, Jorden, Ryan, Cora, Cameron, Natasha, Jackson, Caitlyn, Hayley, Alaina, Ryder and Alexandria; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Beverly Kunselman and a son Jerry Kunselman; four brothers, Alton, Martin, Frank and James Himes; and five sisters, Catherine Himes, Mary Louise Himes, Betty Powell, Elsie Yeager and Bonnie Minick.
At the family’s request, there will be no services held at this time.
Interment will be in Ringgold Methodist Cemetery.
