Dorothy A. (Hockin) Keller, 80, DuBois, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at her home.
Born December 27, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Grace M. (Chick) Hockin.
Dorothy married Floyd Keller November 15, 1975 in DuBois. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2003.
Dorothy graduated from Sandy High School in 1952 and completed secretarial courses at Jeff Tech. She retired from Brockway Glass. Her hobbies included oil painting, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her family, especially her two great-grandsons, Colton and Isaac. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Dorothy is survived by two children, Vicki (James) Edwards of DuBois and Gary Cooper Sr. of Brookville; two grandchildren, Michael Edwards and Gary Cooper Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Colton Edwards and Isaac Cooper; three step-great-grandchildren, Connor, Michael, and Brandon Evans; a sister, Grace Griffith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her siblings, Ruth Tennet, William Hockin, Robert Hockin, Margaret Reed, John Hockin, and Donald Hockin.
Memorial donations may be made to the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania, 2570 Blvd. of the Generals, Suite 124, Norristown, PA 19403.
Family and friends will be received Friday, September 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. in DuBois. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 26th at 10 a.m. at the funeral chapel with Rev. John Miller officiating. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
