Driver Ditches Motorcycle To Avoid Police Pursuit in Winslow Township

State PoliceWINSLOW TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – State Police in DuBois report an unknown motorcycle operator fled from a pursuit and then eluded apprehension by leaving the vehicle behind in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

Police report a 1983 Honda XL 600 R motorcycle was travelling south at around 9:48 p.m. June 26 along State Route 950 when it passed through a radar checkpoint at 81-miles-per-hour.

Police pursued the vehicle, which turned onto Vo-Tech road, then eluded policy when it turned around in a yard.

The motorcycle was recovered along the railroad tracks in a grassy area near the Reynoldsville Legion.

The operator fled the scene on foot, avoiding apprehension.
