Brookville Woman Crashes into Two Elk in Huston Twp.

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225HUSTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township,, Clearfield County.

Police say around 6:14 a.m. January 20, 69-year-old Cathy Thompson, of Brookville, was traveling north in a 2007 Honda Civic.

Two elk entered the roadway into the path of the vehicle.

Thompson struck the elk with the front of her vehicle.

The vehicle came to a controlled stop in the berm of the roadway.

Police say the vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by McCandless Towing.

Thompson was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash.
