Driver Escapes Injury in Crash on Route 219

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225BELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a one vehicle accident occurred on January 30 around 4:24 p.m. on State Route 219, in Bell Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, Larry A. Leamer, 32 of Indiana, Pa., was traveling south on SR 219 in a 2006 Pontiac G6 when he lost control and left the south berm of the roadway and struck a guide rail with the right front bumper.

The vehicle then traveled approximately 24 feet and again made impact with the guide rail with its front bumper.

The vehicle continued for another 54 feet, crossing both lanes of travel and struck the northbound guide rail with its left front bumper and traveled another nine feet.

Leamer’s vehicle came to rest against the guide rail facing southeast.

He was using a seat belt and was not injured.
