Driver Escapes Injury in Pine Creek Township Deer vs. Car Crash

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, this crash took place at 10:45 a.m. on November 9, 2015 as 71-year-old Richard F. Thill, of Madison, Kansas, was traveling east in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Police say Thill was approaching mile marker 85 when a deer entered the roadway from the south berm and entered the vehicle’s path of travel.

The vehicle impacted the deer and sustained moderate front-end damage as a result.

Thill was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the impact.

Bally’s Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
