Driver Escapes Injury in Tractor Trailer Accident

YOUNG TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based state police, a tractor trailer crashed Tuesday in Young Township, Jefferson County, Pa.

Police say around 1:18 p.m. on August 12, 2014, 44-year-old James Porter of Shreve, Oh., was traveling in a 2005 International Harvester Tractor Trailer on Harmony Road just north of Adrian Road; he attempted to stop the vehicle and jack-knifed.

Porter’s vehicle slid across the south bound lane and crashed into an embankment.

Porter was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.

Porter was cited for driving vehicle at an unsafe speed.
