Driver Injured in One Vehicle Accident in Bell Township

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225BELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 4:09 p.m. on January 12, a one-vehicle accident occurred on McGee’s Mills Road, near the road’s intersection with Reed Road, in Bell Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, Daniel T. McCombie, 61, of Westover, Pa., was traveling south on McGee’s Mills Road when he lost control of his 2002 Honda Accord on the snow covered roads while negotiating a left bend in the roadway.

McCombie’s vehicle exited the roadway and impacted a guide rail.

The vehicle traveled over top of the guard rail end and continued traveling until it struck some shrubbery.

McCombie was transported from the scene by Mahaffey Ambulance to DuBois Hospital for minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

The vehicle sustained damage to the windshield, left driver side door, and right rear passenger side.

It was towed from the scene by Smitty’s Towing.
