Driver Injured in Suspected DUI Crash on Route 36

BARNETT TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A man was injured on Saturday in a one-car crash in Barnett Township in which drunk driving may have been a factor, according to Marienville-based State Police.

The crash was reported around 10:12 p.m. along Route 36, just south of River Road, police say.

According to police, a 2011 Toyota Corolla driven by 30-year-old Allen D. Proctor, of Clarington, traveled off the roadway and struck a guide rail.

The vehicle then began to “ride the guide rail” for several feet before overturning and traveling down an embankment.

Proctor was transported to Brookville Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

It’s unknown if Proctor was wearing a seat belt.

He was later arrested on DUI charges, police say.

Jefferson County EMS, Sigel EMS, and Sigel Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
