Driver Loses Control of Vehicle, Crashes on Route 119

HENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A driver was cited for careless driving following a crash on State Route 119 that occurred early Monday afternoon in Henderson Township.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police around 1:02 p.m. on Monday, January 27, a collision occurred on Route 119 just south of its intersection with Harness Lane in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

Police say a 2004 Saturn Vue was traveling south on State Route 119 when the driver lost control while negotiating a left curve. The vehicle then went off the right side of the roadway and struck an address sign, broke the concrete that was holding the sign, and hit a large black sign that read “Stump Creek Variety.”

No injuries were reported and the vehicle was driven from the scene.

The name of the driver was not released.

Police say the driver was cited for careless driving.
