Police say around 10:35 a.m. on February 16, 74-year-old Kenneth V. Winters, of Brookville, was traveling north on Route 36. A PennDOT truck was exiting Sprankle Mills Road, and Winters moved his 2005 Cadillac SRX to the right of his lane to give the truck more clearance. Winters lost control of his vehicle in the slush on the edge of the road and traveled off the northbound berm approximately 93 feet and rolled over. The vehicle came to a rest on its roof facing west.

Winters and two passengers – 72-year-old Louise Winters and 75-year-old Charles C. Knapp, both of Brookville – were using seat belts and were not injured.

Jefferson County EMS assisted at the scene.
