Details of the Young Township Arrest

According to a criminal complaint, around 2:00 p.m. on December 1, 2016, a stop was initiated on a gray, 2013 Ford Fiesta as traffic violations were observed. The driver was identified as Breshanna Nicole Frantz. Deputy Bickel, of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, noticed an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. When questioned, Frantz at first denied having any marijuana, but then “produced six ziplock baggies from the driver’s door and said that was all that she had.”

As Deputy Bickel continued to question Frantz, “she reached toward the passenger floor and retrieved a plastic measuring cup which contained a set of digital scales,” the complaint states.

According to the complaint, during a search of the vehicle, a digital scale and six ziplock baggies and a quantity believed to be approximately 39.1 grams were seized as evidence.

The complaint states that Frantz “under advisement of Miranda warnings, admitted to having marijuana to sell to other persons.”
