DuBois Man Busted for Meth at Clarion County Motel

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – CNET and local law enforcement officers arrested a 34-year-old man at a motel in Clarion for possession of methamphetamine and related charges on Thursday.

According to court documents, criminal charges were filed against 34-year-old Jason A. Schoening, of DuBois.

A criminal complaint states that around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, a member of CNET (Clarion County Narcotics Enforcement Team) was requested to assist Clarion-based State Police as they had received information that Jason Schoening was currently at a motel in Clarion. Schoening was known by PSP to have a warrant for a firearm violation.

According to the complaint, around 11:55 a.m., Clarion-based State Police officers and the CNET member went to the motel. Schoening was ordered out of the room and placed in custody. PSP officers entered the room to clear it for any immediate threats, and in plain view on a small table inside the room was a round mirror with a white crystal substance cut into a “line.” Directly to the right of the mirror was a clear glass vial containing a white crystal substance.

Schoening was brought back into the room, read his Miranda rights, and then he was questioned about the white crystal substance. He advised that it was “meth.” Schoening stated that a friend of his brought the meth over and told him, “help yourself.” He also advised that he and a known woman had just used the meth, according to the complaint.
