DuBois Man Cited in I-80 Crash Near Brookville

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A DuBois man was cited after a two-vehicle traffic accident that occurred on Thursday evening in Interstate 80 near Brookville.

According to DuBois-based State Police, around 6:21 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 26-year-old Craig J. Pyne,, of DuBois, was a driving a 2005 Ford Explorer west on I-80 at mile marker 80 in the left lane when he failed to slow down in time, swerved out of the left lane, and hit a 2015 Kenworth truck, driven by 60-year-old Michael Pierson, of Muncie, Indiana.

Both drivers were using seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

Pyne was cited by police for driving on a suspended or revoked license.

McPherson Towing removed the Explorer from the scene.

Brookville Ambulance assisted Trooper Michael D’Andrea at the scene, as well as Troopers Nick Jordan and Dylan Himes and Corporal Arnold Stutsman.
