CHAUTAUQUA, New York – Clarion English professor Dr. Philip Terman accompanied six students to the 2017 Chautauqua Writers’ Festival held from June 15 to June 18.

The festival, held annually in June, brings six established professional, award-winning writers who work with attendees on fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.

Since the festival began in 2003, at least four Clarion students per year have had the opportunity to work with established professional writers at the four-day festival at The Chautauqua (NY) Institution.

Students who attended this year include: Imarii Anderson, of Erie; Martin Mateer, of Strattanville; Olivia Stuckley, of Cheswick; Erica Greer, of Pittsburgh; Andrew Skubisz, of DuBois; and Katrina Hoff, of Oil City.

In addition to Clarion University, other festival sponsors include: Penn State (Erie); University of North Carolina at Wilmington; University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg; and Monmouth University.
