DuBois Woman Involved in Head-On Collision in Venango Co.

CLINTONVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – According to Franklin-based State Police, a two-car accident occurred yesterday on State Route 308 (Franklin Street), in Clintonville Borough, Venango County.

Police say around 6:47 a.m. on October 2, 33-year-old Zachary I. Baer, of Parker, and 49-year-old Leslie J. Miller, of DuBois, were involved in the collision.

This crash occurred as a 2006 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Baer, was traveling south on SR 308. Baer fell asleep and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, according to police.

Baer’s Elantra struck Miller’s 2014 Ford Focus head on, police say.

Baer suffered moderate head injuries; he was not using his seat belt.

Miller was not injured; she was using a seat belt.

Both vehicles sustained disabling heavy front end damage.

Baer was charged with a traffic violation.

Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department, EMS, and Hovis Towing assisted at the scene.
