E. Jean Morrison

OI586140629_JeanMorrisonphoto[1]E. Jean Morrison age 87 of Beechton Road Brockway, Pa. died on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at her residence.

Born in Brockway on October 7, 1927 she was the daughter of the late William G. and Laura Feldman Buskirk.

She was maried to Joseph E. Puhala and he died on May 17, 1987.

Jean then married Millard Morrison and he preceded her in death on October 12, 1994.

Retired, she had been employed as a packer at Brockway Glass for 32 years, served as a school bus driver for the Brockway School District and was the owner of Morrison Trucking Inc.

Jean was a member at the Presbyterian Church in Brockway.

In 1973 she was instrumental in starting the Brockway Ambulance Service.

Over the next 41 years she served as an attendant, EMT, board member and treasurer. She headed up the childrens Christmas party for many years as well as the hot sausage stand at the Old Fashion 4th of July Celebration.

Jean also was an N.R.A. member and enjoyed watching the birds and the deer around her farm.

Her favorite pastimes were building fires in her fireplace and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Diana Kost of Sykesville, PA; Ruth Joy Keister of West Middlesex, PA; Peggy Thompson of Brockway and 2 sons: Joseph (Frances) Puhala; George (Sandy) Puhala both of Brockway. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: David, Gregory, Traci, Bruna, Jeff, Rebecca, Renee, Colt, Margo, Joe, Jack and Adam as well as 17 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and both husbands she is also preceded in death by a son Tommy Puhala, 3 sisters: Dorothy Hilton, Eudora Fike, Nellie Repiscak and 2 brothers: John and Ray Feldman. There will be no public visitation.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
