Edward I. Raybuck

OI165961078_EIRaybuckphoto2[1]Edward I. Raybuck age 68 of the Allens Mills Road Reynoldsville, PA; died on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born in Brookville, PA on May 20, 1947 he was the son of the late Perry W. Raybuck and Dorothy M. Himes Raybuck who survives and lives in Brockway.

He was married on August 26, 1972 to Kathryn “Kay” Schrecengost Raybuck and she survives. Ed was a 1965 graduate of the Brookville High School, and a 1969 graduate of Clarion State College where he obtained a Bachelors Degree. He then went on to post graduate studies at Penn State.

Through the years Ed taught at the DuBois Area High School, the Brookville Area High School and at Penn State University, DuBois Campus. He also served as Registrar at Penn State DuBois.

Ed established and operated the E.I. Raybuck Income Tax Service Brookville. He was a member of the Hazen United Methodist Church and served as its organist and the organist at the Sugar Hill Presbyterian Church for many years. His passion was singing and playing music to glorify the Lord. His livelihood was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife and his mother he is also survived by 4 daughters: Paula (Paul) McPhail of Mobile, Alabama; Andrea (Tim) Cubbon of Brockway; Emily (Todd) Shaffer of Emerickville; Alisa (Jeremy) Johnson of Falls Creek; 2 sisters: Nancy (Richard) Moore of Brockport; Barbara (Rodney) Beers also of Brockport; 1 brother: Paul (Mary) Raybuck of Lynchburg, VA; 2 brothers-in-law: Thomas (Linda) Schrecengost and Martin Schrecengost and 2 sisters-in-law: Dorothy (Randy) Howard and Nan (David) Miller. Ed is also survived by 5 granddaughters, 4 grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

Calling hours will be on Friday, July 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway and on Saturday, July 11 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at the Hazen United Methodist Church. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. at the church with Pastor Don Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Beechwoods Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Hazen United Methodist Church.
