20150114-1738550671[1]Edward O. Ritenour, Sr. , age 91, of Bridgeville, died on January 10, 2015.

Beloved husband of the late Mary (Billigen) Ritenour; loving father of Joyce (the late Alan) Fairman, Ed (Alesia) Ritenour and Harriet “Bunny” (Ken) Dausch; son of the late Herschel and Marguerite (West) Ritenour; preceded in death by his siblings Herschel, William, Catherine, Betty Jean, Ruth and Tom; cherished grandfather of Derek (Lindsay) Fairman, Mark Dausch, Lisa (Jude) Pfingstler, Greg (Shannel) Dausch, Tom (Chelsea) Dausch, Ryan Ritenour and Katie Ritenour and great grandfather of Tyler and Avery Pfingstler and Reed and Zach Fairman.

He was a Veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Coast guard.

Ed was the Deputy Clerk of Courts and the Deputy County Treasurer for Allegheny County.

He was a member of Holy Child Parish and a member of the Bridgeville American Legion for 60 years.

He served as a member of the Bridgeville Borough Council for 20 years and was a former school board director for Chartiers Valley School District.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc. 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Barbara Church, 45 Prestley Road, Bridgeville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bridgeville Public Library or to the charity of your choice.
