Eileen Marie (McCormick) Kiesling

Eileen Kiesling ObitEileen Marie (McCormick) Kiesling, age 63, of Brookville PA, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016, at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born on April 5, 1952, to the late Harold H. and Isabella Francine (Crable) McCormick. On October 15, 1966, she married Edward “Joe” Kiesling in Winchester, VA; they were to celebrate their 50th anniversary later this year. Eileen had worked as a Unit Clerk at the Brookville Hospital but most recently worked for RGIS Inventory Services.

She was active in Girl Scouts for many years and she enjoyed playing in the Brookville Pool League as a member of the Forest Way A Team. Eileen loved sewing clothes and she was an avid shopper. She enjoyed trips to the casino at Salamanca and she loved going to the beach; any beach was good for her but they primarily went to the Outer Banks. She was certified as a lifeguard instructor and she loved cooking for large groups of people. She was also a member of the Brookville Fireman’s Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 1 son; Edward J. (KC) Kiesling Jr., of Port Angeles, WA; 1 daughter, Mary (Timothy) Hulse of Brookville, PA; 1 brother, Phillip (Sue) McCormick of Spanaway, WA; 4 granddaughters, Holly Kiesling of Philadelphia, PA; Alex, Ivy, and Hope Kiesling of Brookville, PA; her beloved friends, Kay Kahle of Athens, AL, and Carol Snedden of Brookville, PA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 brothers, William McCormick and Joseph McCormick; and 1 son, Forrest L. Kiesling.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00am and officiated by Chaplin Randy Evans.

Interment will take place at the Butler Cemetery in Pine Creek Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 312 West Mahoning St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. Online condolences and other information may be found at www.mckinneydargy.com.
