Elsie Louise Christner

Elsie Louise Christner, 68, of Punxsutawney died on Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born on February 26, 1950, in Punxsutawney to the late Austin and Mae (Kunselman) Troutman. She was a graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. She was a homemaker and liked to collect antique horses and Indian memorabilia. She also liked to go fishing.

She is survived by her sons, Nathan Christner of Reynoldsville, and Doug “Angel” Christner of Punxsutawney; her daughter, Jenn “Dan” Kaza of DuBois; her sisters, Dessie “Bob” Harmon of Juneau, PA, and Alice “Don” Robinson of Boulevard, PA. Also surviving are five grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim, Raymond, and Norman Troutman.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church, 61 Hillcrest Dr., Punxsutawney, PA.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville.
