Elspeth “Red” Giroskey, 78, of Punxsutawney, PA died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born June 21, 1937 in Coatbridge, Scotland, the daughter of the late David and Jean (Peyton) Mack.
She was married to George Giroskey, who preceded her in death in 1994.
She worked in the Junior High School cafeteria for the Punxsutawney Area School District.
She is survived by two sons, George Giroskey and his wife Connie, and David Giroskey and his wife Beth, both of Punxsutawney. She is also survived by one daughter, Beth Warthen of Pittsburgh, PA; one brother, Ian Mack of Scotland and by five grandchildren Tara Runk and her husband Joe, Branda Warthen, Lela Warthen, Tyler Giroskey and Evan Giroskey and four great-grandchildren, Jamison, Gavin, Drew and Hannah.
Friends will be received at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Butch Kunselman officiating.
Burial will be in Circle Hill Cemetery in Punxsutawney, PA.
The family has requested that donations in memory of Red be made to the Gateway Humane Society in Falls Creek, PA.
