Emmy L. Hallberg

Emmy L. Hallberg, 72, of 413 West Hemlock Avenue, Kane passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in her home.

Born March 1, 1943 in Kane she was a daughter of Alf and Doris Alexis Benson. On June 17, 1961 in Kane, she married Harold Elmer Hallberg who survives.

Mrs. Hallberg was a graduate of Kane Area High School and had been employed as a bank teller at RSNB formerly know as Rock Springs National Bank in Rock Springs, WY where she had resided for 20 years before returning to Kane. She enjoyed reading and was a member of Tabor Lutheran Church.

Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Julie (James) Wilson of Rock Springs, WY and Janette (Jeff) Roost of Rapid City, SD, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a sister, Ann Lindquist of Kane and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Ronald McDonald II Funeral Home, Inc. from 6 to 8 pm Friday and 10 to 11am Saturday, where funeral and committal services will be held at 11am with Rev. W Craig Smith, pastor of Mt Jewett and Hazel Hurst United Methodist Churches officiating. Burial will be in Mt Tabor Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the St Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105; or Hospice of Elk and McKean County.
