PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Community Action, Inc. announced Barbara Endress, of Punxsutawney, was selected to be the Jefferson County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for May.
Barbara has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since May 2013, volunteering for the Punxsutawney Area Hospital and the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center.
When asked why she volunteers, Barbara stated, “I moved to the Punxsy area two years ago, and volunteering has given me a way to get out of the house and meet new people. I really enjoy volunteering at both the hospital and the Weather Center.”
When Barbara is not volunteering she enjoys crocheting, playing cards and computer games, and spending time with her family. Barbara attends the Presbyterian Church in Punxsutawney.
