Esther Marguerite (Willow) Watkavitch

Esther Marguerite (Willow) Watkavitch, 69, of Baumertown Road, Weedville, PA, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Kersey, surrounded by family.

A daughter of the late Leroy H. and Ruth M. (Saline) Willow, she was born on September 30, 1949, in St. Marys, PA. On December 11, 1971, she married Joseph M. Watkavitch who preceded her in death in December 2016.

Besides her parents and husband, Esther was predeceased by a son, Joseph F. Watkavitch.

She is survived by two children, Brian J. Watkavitch and his Fiancee, Roxanne Ferris of Weedville, and Melissa A. Swanson and husband Jason, of Kersey; a brother, Andrew (Christine) Willow of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Verena (Rick) Christoff of Ridgway and Lois Keck of Fort Worth, TX; a daughter-in-law, Jolene Watkavitch of Weedville; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Esther graduated Johnsonburg Schools Class of 1967 and had worked at Stackpole, PMP, Sylvania and Contact Technologies, through the years. She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force and enjoyed planting flowers in the Spring. She especially enjoyed and devoted her life to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 4, 2019, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA with Father Mark Mastrian.

Interment will take place in the Church Cemetery next to her husband.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Fox Township Ambulance or the St. Joseph Church Cemetery fund and will be accepting online condolences at www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com.
