Ethel M. Kolodick, 90, died with her family at her side, Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Jefferson Manor, Brookville.
She was born September 22, 1922, in Horatio, PA, a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Hardick) Gresock.
On February 11, 1942, in Punxsutawney, she married the late Joseph Kolodick.
She was a member of the Saint Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.
Mrs. Kolodick was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the Rosary Society.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and cook.
Surviving relatives include four sons; Joseph P. Kolodick and wife Merry of Brookville, Richard Kolodick and wife Eileen of Smicksburg, John S. Kolodick and wife Frances of West Chicago, IL, and Nicholas G. Kolodick and wife Margaret of Oil City; Ten Grandchildren; Twelve Great Grandchildren; four brothers, John Gresock and wife Marge of Grove City, Nicholas Gresock and wife Barbara of Punxsutawney, Sam Gresock of Punxsutawney, and Stephen Greshock of Flint, MI; and a sister Olga Gresock or Brookville.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Agnes Sitko, Sally Fleckenstein, Anna Mary Gresock, and Thecla Gresock; and a brother Gabriel Gresock.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney. A Parastas service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Saint Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church with Father Simeon Sibenik officiating.
Interment will be in Horatio Cemetery in Horatio.
Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Kolodick, to Saint Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.
