Eugene Norman Geist Jr.

Eugene Norman Geist Jr., age 42, of Warsaw Township, passed away quietly in his sleep on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at his home on Egypt Road.

He was born on March 20, 1973, in Daytona, FL, to Eugene Norman Sr., and Mary Elizabeth (Johnson) Geist. On December 13, 1997, he married Amy Lucille (Kephart) Geist, in Brookville, PA.

Gene primarily worked in Cyber Security and he loved technology. He enjoyed watching movies, listening to music and audio books, and he loved his computer. He looked forward to turkey shoots and spending time with his grandkids. He loved his dog Sam, eating ice cream, and shooting pool. Gene was a member of the Warsaw Sportsmans Club and he was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by 6 children, Saren (Sylvan) Larson, Devon Caldwell, Kristen Geist, Tristan Caldwell, Braden Geist, and Branwyn Geist; 3 siblings, Mary Geist, Malisa Johnson, and his brother Eric; 5 grandchildren, Kahle, Landyn, Kenadie, Persephone, and Kade.

Gene will truly be missed by those whose lives he touched.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, March 20, 2016, from 5-7pm, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on the corner of Route 36, and Maplevale Rd., in Brookville, PA.

A funeral service will immediately take place following the visitation, beginning at 7pm, also at the church, and officiated by Bishop Raymond J. Hansen. Interment will take place the following day at Temple Cemetery in Warsaw Township, Jefferson Co., PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Warsaw Sportsmans Club, or to Caring and Sharing for Kids, 149 Baker Rd., DuBois PA, 15801.
