CLARION, Pa. (EYT)- Scott Seeley, a seasoned reporter in the Clarion area, has been hired by EYT Media Group as Associate Editor.
EYT Media Group, the parent company of exploreJeffersonpa.com, officially announced the hiring today.
“This is a big move for us,” said Jake Bauer, President of EYT Media Group. “We’re very excited to add someone of Scott’s caliber to our team.”
Bauer says the addition of Seeley will allow the company to provide more free local news to the people of Jefferson County and surrounding areas.
“I’m happy to be a part of the team at EYT Media Group,” Seeley said. “I’m committed to using my skills and experience to provide quality news coverage in the area.”
Originally from just across the state line in eastern Ohio, Scott has work experience in several aspects of business, including sales, marketing, finance, and public relations.
After moving to western Pennsylvania in 2011, Scott spent the past three and a half years as a news reporter at The Clarion News before joining EYT Media in June.
Scott has always had a passion for writing, and he graduated from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio, in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Writing and Editing.
He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2008 from the same university.
When he’s not working, Scott enjoys Pirates baseball, Steelers football, working out (especially running and spinning), and spending time with his wife, Jenna. They reside in Brookville.
