Falls Creek Man Suffers Serious Injuries in Suspected DUI Rollover Crash

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say around 2:44 a.m. on December 13, an alleged DUI crash occurred on South Pancoast Road, in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 23-year-old Jake Ryan Smithtro, of Falls Creek, lost control of his 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt and exited the roadway. His vehicle overturned.

Smithtro suffered serious injuries, police say.

While speaking with Smithtro, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was allegedly evident on his breath, according to police.

He was subsequently arrested for DUI (pending blood results), possession of a small amount of marijuana, and other summary traffic violation.

The Cobalt sustained major damage.
