BROOKVILLE, Pa. – There’s a new chef who’s been tempting the taste buds of diners at Gold Eagle Inn these days.

Chef Jonathan Hoak has joined the team at the Gold Eagle and is dreaming up delectable nightly specials like Glazed Trout, Shrimp and Crab Ravioli, and Butternut Squash Soup.

Hoak is a native to the area, and a graduate of the IUP Culinary Academy. After he completed his studies, he traveled and spent time working and training at resorts in Hilton Head South Carolina. Eventually, as many do, he decided to come back to Western PA to spend more time with his family.

Although Hoak is a new face at the Gold Eagle, diners can rest assured that their favorite dishes have not gone anywhere! They can still feast on the Gold Eagle’s famous prime rib, surf and turf selections, and chicken oscar. For those who like to switch it up, however, Hoak will flex his creative and culinary muscle with the special daily selections, side dishes, and fresh, homemade soups!

Constructed from pieces belonging to three different barns, the Gold Eagle opened its doors to diners in 1962, and has been a gathering spot for special occasions ever since. Whether it’s a romantic date or celebrating a birthday with the family, local residents know that they will feast on a fine meal that won’t leave them hungry! Bread, salads, and a heaping relish tray with goodies like pickles, olives, and marinated mushrooms are just the introduction to an unforgettable main dish that will have you planning your next visit back! If you are looking for something a little bit lighter, you can always enjoy a sandwich, delicious fresh ground burger, or salad and some great conversation.

The restaurant is uniquely adorned with tools and equipment from early farm life, whiskey stills from the days of bootlegging, and even a collection of antique bells. Because the dining area features four separate rooms and a bar, the Gold Eagle makes a wonderful gathering spot for larger dining parties, meetings, and small wedding receptions. The staff will be happy to work with you to determine the perfect menu for your event and you can be sure that your guests will be treated to an enjoyable meal with impeccable service.

Planning a bridal or a baby shower? Looking for a venue to hold a business lunch? The Gold Eagle would be happy to host your private luncheon event of fifteen or more. They can work with you to customize a menu to suit your needs.

If you are trying to think of the perfect way to give mom the royal treatment for Mother’s Day this year, we recommend putting a meal at the Gold Eagle Inn on the itinerary!
