Featured Local Job: 911 Dispatcher in Brookville

The Jefferson County Department of Emergency Services is accepting applications for the position of 9-1-1 dispatchers.

Applicants must work all three shifts, weekends and holidays and be available for call outs, sometimes under stressful conditions. Any applicant with a criminal history will not be considered. Typing and computer experience is a must. Prior knowledge of fire, police, and EMS related fields and geographic knowledge of Jefferson County is highly recommended for the candidate to do well in this position.

Applications are available at the Commissioner’s Office, c/o Jefferson Place, 155 Main Street, Brookville, PA between the hours of 8:30am and 4:30p.m. Monday through Friday. Return applications and resumes to the same address prior to 4:30p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Applicants that meet the qualifications will be scheduled for testing and will be notified by mail of the test date and place.
