Felony Charges Filed Against Sex Offender for Failure to Register in Sykesville

Himes -1SYKESVILLE, Pa. (EYT) A Sykesville man has been jailed for failure to comply with Megan’s Law requirements.

According to court documents, on April 22, 2016, Sykesville Boro Police Department filed criminal charges against 31-year-old Joseph B. Himes, of Sykesville.

He was arraigned at 10:00 a.m. on April 23 in front of Magisterial District Judge Douglas Robert Chambers on a second-degree felony charge of – Verify Address or Photographed as Required.

Unable to post $30,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.

He was convicted on April 7, 2005, for Indecent Assault – Complainant Less than 13 Years of Age.

His registration began of March 3, 2006.

He is listed as a Tier 3 Sex Offender which required a life-time registration.
