Fifth Annual Cubmobile to be Held in Brockway Today

5:10:16 cubmobile picBROCKWAY, Pa. (EYT) — Cub Scouts from across the area will descend on Brockway on Sunday, May 15, for the Fifth Annual Brockway Cub Scout Pack 40 Cubmobile.

St. Tobias Catholic Church will host the event, which begins at 4 p.m.

Cub Scouts have been working to build their 50-inch racers. They are allowed to customize them and also practice before Sunday’s races.

Each team consists of at least four scouts and a 50-inch long Cubmobile they build and customize themselves and practice with before the big race day. There is a minimum of two teams per car

There are five races, including the down-hill, Chinese fire drill, cloverleaf, uphill push and NASCAR pit stop.

There will be trophies for first, second and third place of each race and overall winners.
The first-place overall winner is awarded a traveling trophy which they will hold until next year’s race.

All Scouts who race will receive a Cubmobile Drivers’ License.

There will be door prizes for the racing Scouts, such as camping gear, mess kits, sleeping bags, tents, fishing poles, gift cards, and other items Scouts might need.
