Firefighters Battle Garage Fire in Brookville

Screenshot_2BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) –Brookville Fire Company and other area departments responded to a structure fire at a garage on Erma Circle in Brookville, Jefferson County, today.

Sources say the owner of the garage was welding, causing a spark that ignited the fire.

The fire quickly spread throughout the garage, fully engulfing the structure.

However, the fire was under control in 11 minutes, according to Brookville Fire Company.

Officials say the garage was a complete loss.

The owner’s home and a neighbor’s home sustained damage in the fire.

Two cars parked near the garage were also damaged.

No one was injured in the blaze.

Investigators have ruled the fire accidental.

Corsica VFD, Pine Creek VFD, Reynoldsville Fire Company, DuBois RIT, and Jefferson County EMS assisted at the scene.
