Forest County Mobile Home Fire Ruled Arson

GREEN TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A mobile home fire that occurred yesterday morning in Green Township has been ruled an arson.

According to Marienville-based State Police, around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, a fire occurred at an abandoned mobile home located at 3320 Little Hickory Road, Green Township, Forest County.

Police say a passerby saw smoke coming from the windows of the trailer, and 9-1-1 was called.

The structure had no utilities.

Damage was minimal.

Assistant Chief Blake Mealy, of the Tionesta Volunteer Fire Department, requested assistance from a PA State Police Fire Marshal in determining the origin and cause of the blaze.

The fire was determined to have been intentionally started.
