Four Escape Injuries in 2-Vehicle Crash on Route 219

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225DUBOIS, Pa. (EYT) – Dubois-based State Police say a two-vehicle crash occurred on Route 219, in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, the collision occurred on January 10 at approximately 4:25 p.m. and involved Jacob F. Waterhouse, 25, of Greensburg Pa., and Peggy L. Kilmer, 58, of Brockway, Pa.

Police say the crash occurred as both drivers were traveling north on Route 219.

According to police, Waterhouse, driving a 2012 Ford F550, attempted to turn the vehicle from the right lane into a crossover on Route 219 in an effort to turn around.

Kilmer was in the left lane driving a 2007 Nissan Altima. She was passing Waterhouse when his vehicle struck the right side of the Altima, police say.

Kilmer’s vehicle was pushed into the median area and became disabled.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Waterhouse and his passenger, Ashley M. Griffiths, 26, of Latrobe, and Kilmer and her passenger, Vincent Desantis, 62, of Brockway, were wearing seatbelts and escaped injuries in the crash.

According to police, Waterhouse will be cited with a traffic violation.
