Four Escape Injury in Young Twp. Collision

State PoliceYOUNG TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT)– Punxsutawney-based State Police report a two-vehicle crash occurred on August 24 at approximately 7:50 p.m. on SR 119 in Young Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, the collision involved Amanda E. Maynard, 18, of Valencia, Pa., and Tracy L. Pruzinsky, 47, of Reynoldsville, Pa.

Police say the crash occurred as both drivers were traveling north on SR 119.

According to police, Pruzinsky, driving a 2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara, slowed down near the intersection of SR 119 and Snyder Hill Road at a red traffic light.

Maynard, driving a 2009 MINI Cooper, allegedly failed to recognize Pruzinsky had slowed and; as a result, struck her vehicle.

Both drivers and Pruzinsky’s two passengers – Olivia E. Chambers, 18, and a 13-year-old female, both of Reynoldsville, Pa. – escaped injury in the crash.

According to police, Maynard will be cited with a Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed violation.
