Four People Arrested Following Report of Shots Fired

FOX TWP., Elk Co., Pa. (EYT) – Police say four people were arrested following an investigating into shots fired from a vehicle in southern Elk County.

Around 1:34 p.m. on April 11, Ridgway-based State Police were dispatched to the area of Gardner Hill Road in Fox Township, Elk County, for a report of shots fired from a vehicle, listed as a 2001 Cadillac Deville.

Police say it was determined the driver of the vehicle, identified as 22-year-old Jeremiah Deemer, of Kersey, had taken multiple shots into the woods with a .22 pistol. It was also determined that Deemer was driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and was in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and did not have a conceal carry permit.

According to police, through the course of the investigation and during a pat-down, a passenger, identified as 33-year-old Darrell Close, of Ridgway, was found to have the .22 pistol concealed on his person. Police say close did not have a license to carry the pistol.

Police also say two other passengers, identified as 25-year-old Vinnie Allegretto, of Kersey, and 24-year-old Courtney Daniels, of Emporium, were found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Charges are pending through District Court 59-3-03.
