Frances G. “Jenny” Slack Foradora

Frances ForadoraFrances G. “Jenny” Slack Foradora, age 97, Sandstone Drive, Falls Creek, PA died Monday, May 1, 2017 at the DuBois Nursing Home.

Born December 8, 1919 in Falls Creek, PA, she was the daughter of the late Louis Frank Slack and Sophia Josephine Miklic.

On March 31, 1943, she married Paul Joseph Foradora. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1974.

Jenny was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, reading, baking and gardening. She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

She was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was also a member of the American Fraternal Union of Baggaley Lodge #13.

Jenny is survived by five children (Lynn Smathers and her husband, Gerald of Franklin, PA; Denise Foradora of Falls Creek, PA; Paul Foradora, Jr. and his wife, Sonya of Cleveland, OH; Mark Foradora of Falls Creek, PA and Bart Foradora and his wife, Nancy of DuBois, PA). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters (Sophia Urbank; Mary Kozel; Agnes Slack; Christine Alburg and Annie Slack) and three brothers (Louis Slack; Joe Slack; and Rudolph Slack).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4 from 6-8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 5 at 10:00 AM from St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Falls Creek, PA. with Fr. Matias M. Quimno as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
