Francis Alan Kemmer, 61 of Mayport, PA, died Thursday February 19, 2015 at his home after an extended illness, surrounded by family.
Born October 5, 1953 in Limestone Twp, Clarion Co., PA, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Leona Smith Kemmer.
Francis was a graduate of Clarion Limestone High School. On March 19, 1983 Francis was married to Donna Bish in Shannondale, She survives. Francis was the owner and operator of Kemmer’s Greenhouse along with his wife, son Brian, and daughter-in-law Ashley.
Francis was a member of First Church of God in New Bethlehem. His hobbies included camping, hunting, fishing, working, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Along with his wife Donna, Francis is survived by four sons; Kenneth (Kammy) Kemmer of Sarver, PA, Bradley Goss of Mayport, Keith Kemmer of Clarion, Brian (Ashley) Kemmer of Mayport, one daughter; Krista (Robert “Bud”) George of New Bethlehem, five brothers; Larry (Kathy) Kemmer of Mayport, Thomas (Sue) Kemmer of Summerville, Richard (Maddy) Kemmer of Summerville, Ronald Kemmer and partner Sue of Summerville, Joseph (Roxanne) Kemmer of Fairmont City, three sisters; Lucy Smith of Clarion, Cheryl (Harry) Smathers of New Bethlehem, Annette (Bob) Wolbert of Leeper, six grandchildren; Tia and Brianna George, Madison and Clayton Kemmer, Gregory Smith and Eleanor Kemmer
His family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21, 2015, from 5 – 8 pm and Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm and Monday, February 23, 2015 from 10 – 11 am at the First Church of God at 418 Briar Lane in New Bethlehem. The funeral service will follow at 11 am with Pastor John Phillips officiating.
Per the family’s request, memorial donations may be made to Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 801 Roeder Road Suite 1000, Silver Spring, MD. 20910.
Interment will be in the Shannondale Union Cemetery, Redbank Twp, Clarion County, PA.
