Francis Delare Czajkouski (Dubby)

Francis Delare Czajkouski (Dubby), 84, of Brookville, PA, passed away during the morning hours of November 29, 2021, while at his home.

He was born on June 12, 1937, to the late Stanley John and Bessie Elizabeth (Monaghan) Czajkouski in Tyler, PA.

Francis graduated from Houston Township High School with the Class of 1956.

He went on to graduate from the DuBois Business College.

Francis married Eleanor Haugh on May 22, 1971, in Force, PA and they shared fifty loving years of marriage; Eleanor survives him.

Francis spent his early career at Ti – Brook as a financial executive.

He later owned and operated Brookville Technology Center – Radio Shack where he first retired.

After being faced with a lengthy honey-do list, he returned to work at the Punxsutawney Walmart where he retired for good in 2010.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

He was also a past member of the Penfield Volunteer Fire Department.

Francis was a jack of all trades.

He loved to garden and tinker around the house.

He enjoyed being outside, riding his cub cadet tractor, hunting, and fishing.

Above all else, he loved his family, especially his wife, daughter, and grandchildren.

He loved babysitting his grandchildren and hearing about all their activities.

In addition to his wife, Francis is survived by one daughter; Sara Frances (James) Gow of Brookville, PA; one sister; Thomasine A. Decker of St. Mary’s, PA; three grandchildren; Elliana, Emelia, and Ezra James; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Francis is preceded in death by many beloved cousins and other family members.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, from 4 – 8pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.

A funeral mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021, beginning at 10am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 129 Graham Ave., Brookville, PA 15825 and officiated by Father William Laska.

Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Immaculate Conception Church, 129 Graham Ave, Brookville, PA 15825, or to the DuBois Central Catholic School, 200 Central Christian Rd., DuBois, PA 15801.
